Large Format Scanning

At SMS we are able to convert a wide variety of large format documents into electronic images for ease of storage and speed of retrieval, including:

We have high capacity large format scanners available to scan in both black and white and colour, whichever suits your particular needs. As you will know, cumbersome items such as Drawings, Plans, and Newspapers are often difficult to store satisfactorily in their original format, partly owing to their size and/or bulk, and partly because of the need to preserve them from degradation through (e.g.) damp, sunlight, or even simple mishandling. Scanning and Indexing these vital documents is the answer. Example applications of Large Format Scanning include:

  • Design and Build project portfolios / Client handover packs;
  • Scanning drawings related to particular services, such as Plumbing or Electrical layout – SMS can then deliver a complete services pack to you on a set of CDs or DVDs – fully indexed, putting all the drawings and information you need at your fingertips;
